Thank you so much for considering Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church as the location for your wedding. Since this is a very special moment in your lives, we want to assist you in any way that we can to make this experience more worshipful and meaningful for you. In keeping with this desire, these guidelines have been prepared and approved to aid in affirming your covenant with each other and with God.

Steps To Planning Your Wedding

How To Plan Your Day At Emmanuel

Schedule a meeting with Pastor Thompson and the wedding coordinator.
Once you have filled out the form (s) in this package as best as you can, contact the AdMinistry office to make an appointment with Pastor Thompson and Joan Thompson. In this initial meeting we will go over your forms, wedding guidelines and answer any questions you may have.
Confirm your wedding date with a deposit.
There is a $100 deposit required to secure the wedding date for non-members. The deposit will be applied to your fees.
Schedule pre-marital sessions with Pastor Thompson.
Each couple is required to complete three one hour counseling sessions with Pastor Thompson before they will be allowed to be married at EMBC.
Schedule a planning meeting with the EMBC wedding liaison.
Each couple will meet with the EMBC wedding liaison a minimum of three times. The initial meeting will be held in conjunction with the pastor, a second meeting three to six months before the wedding will be held to plan the details of the ceremony and one final meeting thirty days before the ceremony to confirm the details of the day.
