2022 Ministry Accomplishments

Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church 2022 Ministry Accomplishments

Aids Ministry

  • Participated in the World AIDS Day Event in Denver
  • Worked with the Colorado Health Network by participating in a study about aging while HIV

Benevolence Ministry

  • Provided assistance for food, gas, lodging, utilities and/or rental assistance to 16 persons for a total of $6,822.05.

Bereavement Ministry

  • Ministered to 32 families in 2022.  Our goal is to ensure that each bereaved family has a 5-Star
  • Offered our signature “People Get Ready” seminar on October 4, 11, 18 & 25, 2022. We had a great turnout – 35 people.  We also showed the acclaimed film, “The Voices of Grief”.

Community Share Ministry

  • Affiliated with World Vision and two other local churches and provided food, clothing, furniture and household items to three food banks, 1,506 adults and 656 children.

Decor’ Ministry

  • Redecorated the visiting Pastor office and moved some furniture around in other places in the church. 

E-911 Ministry

  • Treated and cared for six congregants in church
  • EMBC certified instructors held a CPR class and certified two individuals

Greeters and New Disciples Ministry

North Campus

  • 44 New Members joined North EMBC Campus
    • 39 Adults 5 Youth.
  • 21 new members completed all New Members Orientation Classes and received their certs
  • Assisted all new members by providing them with a Welcome Package, provided them information about Emmanuel, New Orientation Disciples Classes, making
  • Welcome telephone calls, and emails to all new members who joined Emmanuel.
  • Coordinated schedule for baptism candidates 5 and assisted with getting this process done.
  • 1 Youth and 4 Adults for baptism.
  • 37 new members attended the Meet and Greet Social.

South Campus

  • 4 New Members joined South EMBC Campus

Media Ministry

  • Coordinated with Community of Faith/Bishop James Dixon and seven other ministries to receive and broadcast the live video stream of the Apostolic Bull Presentation ceremony.
  • Provided audio and video support of the Le’Andria Johnson concert, to include two praise teams and a soloist.
  • Supported transition between directors of music, assisted new musician with tailored sound support in sanctuary.
  • Replaced main camera and stage monitors in the sanctuary.
  • Creation of video presentations for Sis Shirley Williams and various other members Homegoing services.
  • Creation of DVD and CDs of services with customized graphics.
  • Provided sound/video coverage and recording support to all EMBC worship services for the North Campus, to include the following
    • 2021 Annual Church Summit
    • Wednesday Night E North Campus Bible Studies
    • EMBC 59th Church Anniversary.
    • Make available CD/DVDs for each service for senior members unable to access streaming services and visitation members

M. E. Ford Scholarship Ministry

  • Hosted 2 Junior & Senior M. E. Ford Socials
  • Hosted 1 Freshmen & Sophomore Social 
  • Funded P.A.L.S. Packages for Emmanuel College Students for over $2,000
  • Hosted the Baccalaureate Service celebrating Graduates from High School and College, Certificate and Master’s Recipients and a Law School Graduate
  • Welcomed an Emmanuelite Master’s Graduate as the Baccalaureate Service Speaker
  • Presented monetary Scholarships, Awards and Stipends totaling more than $13,000 

Pastors’ Partners Ministry

  • Provided pulpit libations and ensured their proper placement during worship services
  • Provided nourishments for Pastor and/or guest
  • Gained a new ministry member
  • Accompanied Pastor on various engagements – upon request
  • Ensured that the Pastor’s robes were cleaned

Sunday School Ministry

  • Resumed regular in person Adult Sunday School

Women Ministry

  • Continued to provide the Woman-to-Woman Bible Study throughout the year by converting our study to Zoom. In doing so, we were able to reach a broader range of women to include re-connecting with several former Emmanuel members who have moved out of the state and their family.

Ushers Ministry

  • Provided two outreach projects of feeding the homeless.
  • Sponsored First Choice Processing Inc. to pre gift baskets to deployed Veterans.
  • One Youth Usher joined.
