Rev. Tanya Tyson
Women’s Ministry Leader
Rev. Tyson describes serving in the capacity of Servant Leader to the Women’s Ministry of Emmanuel as fulfilling her Purpose and Assignment from God. As a part of that assignment, she also has facilitated Emmanuel’s “Woman-to-Woman” Bible Study, for over twelve years. As a CDOC Chaplain, Rev. Tyson provides Spiritual Counseling to the women who are incarcerated at the La Vista Women’s Correctional Facility in Pueblo, CO, where she also facilitates “Woman-to-Woman” Bible study to women she describes as having a hunger and thirst for the Lord. Rev. Tyson also serves on Emmanuel’s Ministerial Team, and makes herself available to serve at both, North and South Campuses. Because of her Community Service through CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), she has become a surrogate mother to many children, some of whom are now young adults, and is affectionately called “Momma T” by them all.
